There are some amazing things happening in Israel at this present time. Sadly it seems, the church generally, is not that concerned or interested in events regarding Israel. However, I am encouraged by the interest and care that many Christians have for the persecuted church. There is incredible support for VOM NZ, and the good work that Graham & Sandra are heading up.
For Ezra resources we are partnering with VOM NZ & Maoz Israel to raise awareness of what is taking place in the Middle East. At this present time in Israel there are wonderful testimonies of Messianic Jews & Arab Christians being united by their love for Jesus, Yashua. [Maoz Newsletter May]. This to me is the gospel working as it should. We hear of much division in the church, and of course we are aware of the huge division that exists in the Middle East generally, but the glorious gospel of Jesus, Yashua messiah is able to bring peace and reconciliation. Right now, barriers and long deep rooted prejudices are being removed and healed. Here at Ezra we are excited that we can be part of this.
As I have travelled around NZ, I have been encouraged by various Pastors and leaders who have voiced that I should write a blog. There seems to be growing interest in eschatology around Israel. Of course even the most reserved or liberal Christians agree that Jesus is coming back one day, on this many agree. But when Israel is brought into the conversation there is great division. We here at Ezra believe that Israel is very central to God’s plans. [Romans chapters 9-11] So very soon we will be giving updates that have prophetic significance in the light of scripture. There is no doubt we are living in the last days and the birth pains have begun.
